Move files from host directory to emulator hard drive

I've set up a directory hard drive (https://fs-uae.net/using-hard-drives) and I can save files to this drive from within Workbench.

If I copy files to this directory from the host, the files don't appear in the hard drive when I launch the emulator.

Is there an extra step that I'm missing in order to copy files from host to emulator?

I'm using fs-uae 3.0.2 on windows 10 v1909.

Perhaps the files have no icons and you need to show all files from workbench.
You dont need an extra step to copy files.
