Nintendo emulator: A/NES: 1.02beta2 (AGA)
There's another update available for the AGA version of A/NES (the Nintendo Entertainment System emulator). A few minor things were fixed. CPU timing was improved, games with CHR-RAM work better (mostly noticeable on FDS-games) and a few other fixes.

Well, testing it on WinUAE with the 68020+FPU option gives it about a good 50fps, but a lot of games don't work because a number of mappers aren't correctly emulated, or even at all. Plus, regardless of what CPU setting I use that's 020 or higher, FPU or no FPU, JIT on or off, it seems that the keyboard controls are far too laggy to make the emulator useable. Unfortunately you're going to need a CD32 pad.

I think I used to use Anes on my Amiga.
Is this the one with the shareware request window at the start? If so it runs quite good on a 030@28mhz with a 68882 fpu. I got a good speed with Metal Gear with sound too. P.O.W worked good two, it's just that the mapper wasn't fully/correctly emulated |

But, all I really care about is for someone to fix it so that it runs Y's - The Vanished Omens (actually it should be called Ys, but SEGA fucked it up)... that would be marvellous... since the only other versions of the game that can be run on my 68k Amiga at the moment is the MSX versions under AmiMSX (and to be honest, those versions are not really THAT fun to play, no matter how fantastic the soundtrack is). |

Yes the Ami series emulators were of a very good quality.
Tell me, has MagiC64 become open source on Aminet yet? Mine still refuses to recognise the key I "got" for it a while back... |
