Lambda + Gilbert Goodmate + Golem

I recall in the dying years of Amiga magazines that there were a few previewed games that I was eagerly awaiting but were never released.

Lambda (not in HOL) - A space combat game similar to Wing Commander. It contained unbelievable graphics for the time and ran very well on my A1200 @ 030. The homepage (last updated 1999) contains screenshots and what I believe are the demos that I used to play with. http://www.illuvatar.demon.co.uk/lambda/index.html

Gilbert Goodmate and the Mushroom of Phungoria - Later released for the PC in a graphically different way, this adventure game was constantly previewed in magazines and even had a demo, but never saw release. My guess would be a dying Amiga market, because it seemed as though it was near complete.

??? - A game I can't recall the name of, but from memory, reminded me of BioForge on the PC. I remember a demo also being released (on an Amiga Format cover CD?) and also playing well on my A1200 @ 030. I want to say that at one point, it was previewed on the same page as Lambda in a later issue of Amiga Format.

Any chance of aGTW followups on any of these titles?

Developers A1200 died so Lambda was never finished IIRC. Met the sound-dude for Lambda on IRC back in 1998/1999, nice guy, he got an A1200 just for the game.

To bad, looked like a nice game!

I thought Lambda was developed on an Amiga 4000 which was stolen on a party. As all the sources were on that machine only, the coder ceased the whole game as he didn't want to write everything from scratch.

I actually met the developers of Gilbert Goodmate during my time with Crystal Interactive and spent a few days with them in the UK. Really great guys, Danish I think they were or Swedish. I played the latest demo they had of Gilbert Goodmate. I think this was the PC version by then as it was the year 2000 and they had already abandoned the Amiga version by that point to concentrate on the PC version.

I think they were from the northern parts of Sweden. Later bought the PC version of Gilbert Goodmate for 20SEK or so.
