What's the biggest score you've ever seen?
What's the biggest score you've ever seen?
There's games where you can score tens of millions of points, like Deluxe Galaga for example, but whats the numerically largest score you've ever seen? Amiga games primarily, but any platform will do. Just a crazy question for a slow Thursday afternoon |

on the lemon amiga New Zealand Story competition, someone cranked round past the counter, and its started displaying symbols like ; : # etc instead of the millions....
i thought it was odd because when i completed it i only got around 800,000-900,000 - which to me suggests someone taking advantage of loopholes! |

Girv: here is the lemonamiga NZS compo
what i find odd is this score given for reaching the final level: shown here - (by someone who gave tips on getting more points, and then moaned at me for testing one of them!) more odd is this one given later on:the over a million points score (note that the screenie is still on the begining of the final level!) considering my completion score (some months later on a different score competition) was only 880,000 - i was left scratching my head a bit after all that! It is quite possible to just sit on the final level for ages racking up points though (no time limit) - just feels like a cop-out to me still... the "over the clock numbers" would be a bug for the WHDLoad slave to fix perhaps? (along with highscore saving?) |
