Testetd a bit more. Tried cleaning the socket and cpu with IPA. Used a q-tip on both as I didn't have a tooth brush available.

Not tried to resolder the cpu, but after rebooting a few times, it does boot normally.

So I don't think it is necessary.

It does click on nicely when trying what kipper2k suggested using 4 fingers to evenly pressure it on, but no matter how much I try, no lights are turned on, and it isn't detected.

Either I have pressed to hard and gotten a bad connection or two, or there is something else.

Will answer kipper2k PM soon.
