Start with the hot air far away and move in gently. When they move in place push them down with tweezer. Lots and lot of flux.

Will there be any of these made for other Amiga models like the A600 or A1200..?

I would love a Vampire 2 but at 250 euros now it's way out of my price range and my price range is very low..

Steve is waiting for the CD32 boards to arrive from DirtyPCB's production farms... (And I am waiting for my TF530 boards). He has plans for an A1200 board.

Two irrelevant joke posts did not derail the thread, conversation resumed as normal, so didn't see a reason to intervene.

Sorry to go off topic, but you've intrigued me.

I'm British too, from the north of England. I've lived all over the uk and have traveled these fair isles extensively, and I have never ever heard anyone use the word twat as a contraction of "to what". So is there actually really a non derogatory coloquial use of this word? If so, where?

Twat is a rather crude euphemism for lady parts. Please let's not let the tone descend further.

Speaking of things I hate....let's put Xilinx' dev tools on the list.
Their software is terrible. The install looks like it's from 2003. No static binaries and stuff all over the place and some fails due to unmet dependencies that would have been solved by a proper install process. They can't even install a desktop icon link properly. Then the fonts are all messed up because of stupid assumptions about desktop resolution. The language (lingo) used for menu items and processes is obscure and not intuitive "Implement top module"? Seriously? And of course last but not least is the licensing. What year is this? What kind of idiot hardware company charges for their software dev tools?
All these fails are why the not necessarily superior Arduino (ATmel) now dominates a market once practically owned by PIC (Microchip).

Considering there are people selling them for $28 ea., I'd say it's more than fair. But don't do ebay, sell them here. No overhead.

eBay is the only format that works for me... unless i started my own site..

5 bare rev boards on eBay ... £5 each. If they all sell i'll get another batch and sell those the same way... these boards are from the original rev 2 batch.

Picked one up.

Now to see if this RAM I've got will work with a Rev 2. Hopefully you ship quicker than a set of 10 would arrive from China
