Amiga 600 and brand new AMIGA KIT 1MB RAM won't work

Hi all,
I've just purchased a brand new 1MB RAM expansion for my Amiga 600 and installed it.
However, when I boot and go the Show Config it still only comes up with 1Meg.

Does anyone have an idea why this could be happening?

This happened to me after installing my A604. After cleaning the A600's trapdoor edge connector with an eraser, the card was detected and all was well.

I had a similar problem on my 600, caused by capacitor leakage. Residue from C612 corroded a trace that carried a column strobe signal to the trapdoor.

We carefully test every RAM card before sending out to customers, so it is very unlikely to be faulty.

It is more likely that your Amiga 600's edge connector needs a good clean top and bottom.
