MP3@64 module on Deneb

I do not know if this association has been tested yet.
My config:
A2000 rev 6.2,
Kickstart 3.1,
2 MB chip RAM,
TekMagic 060, 128 MB,
Toccata
Deneb
MP3@64 module on Deneb clock port
OS 3.9
AMPlifier
mp3at64mpeg.device

I connected the module output on a Toccata input. I can play mp3 files up to 192 kbps @ 44 KHz. At 256 kbps, the sound is lagging despite of the light load of the 68060. I do not know why because the documentation claims it is possible to play mp3 files 320 kbps.

File tested: mp3 on hard disk at 192 kbps, 44 KHz, full quality playback.
Without the module the processor load is (Scout):
Toccata.audio: ~ 7%
Audio.input: ~ 1%
MPEG decoder: ~ 65%

With the module the processor load is:
Input.device: less than 1%
That's it!

Note: In this configuration the module does not "wake up" the Toccata (analog connection): you have to start it playing a sound to have it ready for the module during all the Amiga session.

I have this since 1-2 year(s), Audio-output connected to Concierto. But sometimes the music stutters a bit, 1-2 times per song, regardless of the bitrate. Can you confirm it?

No, I only have sometimes sound interruption for a short period as noticed in the driver documentation. I cannot remember the stutters you mention but I have not much experience with this module.

After several tries, I can say that the module reacts differently with two songs with the same bitrate and frequency. Encoding could affect the behavior of the module due to some other parameters. If I find another clues I will report them.
