Zorro III address base is waited feature for many. It would made Terrible fire more compatiable with other expansions. Please note, that target audience for Terrible fire is not a "usual A500 user". Many A2000 users are waiting this and of course CDTV, etc. Most of us has a pimped Amigas, with lots of expansions already. |

Actually before I do this I may be a sneaky bar-steward and try letting the A500 configure the ZIII card from the ZII configuration address. In theory that will work

From reading further information on the internet, it appears that only certain roms look for boards in Zorro-III space at EZ3_EXPANSIONBASE, while other roms look at E_EXPANSIONBASE instead.
That would explain the amigaforever kb note and why Zorro-III card is not found/configured during startup with the rom in yesterdays plasmab livestream. Last edited by a4k-oerx; 24 November 2017 at 15:58. |

Awesome!, so that means with an A500+ you will have 2mb chip, 8MB Z2 fast and 4MB Z3 fast

One strange bug i am seeing with the k1208 is that if there is a CF in the A1200 (main motherboard) the floppy will not boot first. The only way to make the floppy boot when CF is inserted is to enter early startup and select DF0 to boot first,. I'm not sure if this is something that snuck through from the CD32 lack of floppy drive testing.

Check your boot priorities in hdtoolbox.
DF0 is 5 if I recall correctly, so make sure your boot partitions are below that. |

Awesome news about z3! Sorry to ask with the most up-to-date firmware is there fpu support on the rev2, or do I have some funky fpu's, as the fpu are not being detected, I have tried two rev2 boards and two different type 40 mhz 68882 all not showing in sysinfo.
Many thanks. Last edited by keith; 26 November 2017 at 15:10. |
