Still closer to the original than this SOTB remake/restart thing. ^^

I love me some Amiga BB intros as they all have a certain magic when it comes to the synergy of sounds and visuals. If you mark something a 'remake' and fail to match that quota you're just not getting a 'thumb of approval' from me. Then again seeing as those are the guys that made the Another World intro remake I won't lose some good night's sleep over it |

Was excited about this ... but just had a look at the intro and when it displays "GODS" it looks rather shabby! I did feel the short animations following on from the initial intro reminds me of the intro from Lionheart... Now THAT'S a HD remake I'd like to see!

Wow... That music is even worse than the original, which I always thought was terrible (I know most people will disagree with that).

I hope the animation/images are not an indication of what it will look like because that was a flat pencil-drawing style and not the shiny metallic pixelwork I associate with it.
As for the music I think I'd stick with the original even if it is somewhat minimalistic. |

Well I wasn't expecting that! Clearly a lot of effort went into it, but it's not a patch on the original.
Into the nice try! |

Going to disagree, I like it :-) Needs a little more polish but it's not as bad as people are saying it is.
I appreciate the time it would also have taken to create, keep it going :-) Would love a modern version of Gods. The first time I heard the Gods theme song its stuck with me, it's iconic just like the IK+ music. When I hear either it reminds me of the Amiga :-) |

The tribute version is still a fun and unusual tune but I wouldn't put it up on the radio. |

Good, but it's just too bad that they included the A500 gameplay footage in the intro, otherwise it would be good for an actual remake.

It gave me the feeling that so many Bitmap games had: Some very talented visual work that tried to push too much into 16 colours. Their ideas and visions were limited by their ST background, and the result was rasterisation that worked hard to make up for a lack of colours, but didn't succeed at times.
Has anyone done one of those fancy palette analysises(sp?) for, say, Gods? |
