Hello. I'm Echelon and I'm new
Hey
Would just like to say hello to the Amiga community. So far I have spray-painted an old A1200 bright white and lacquered it, installed a 60GB harddrive, 3.1 ROMs, 68030 Accelerator, 68882 FPU @ 50Mhz, 8MB Fast RAM and RBG to VGA connector. I have requested ClassicWB OS3.9 from Bloodwych after trying ClassicWB FULL which was great. I'm quite lazy and OS3.9 seems to be the quickest way of utilising the whole Harddrive without fickering around with SFS etc... |

Hi Echelon, nice to have you with us
You'll want to get yourself at least 32MB Fast RAM to replace that 8MB SIMM, especially if you're going to be running OS3.9 (with its dog-slow datatypes). And how about an Indivision AGA? I'll tell you what, running Workbench in 1024x768 is way better than 640x256. And the convenience of being able to plug your A1200 into any kind of monitor (VGA/RGB/LCD/TV) is great. If you have time, you should come on IRC and chat to us, we're a friendly bunch mostly. |

Amiga A500 back in action
My A500 has been languishing in the roof space for many years, and I decided to get it down. It still works, so I am here. I have got the "E-UAE" emulator working on a Linux partition on my laptop. I have been writing blog about this.
