WinUAE and Windows 8 real HD Problems

I've been using windows 8 for a while now and when i tried to use winuae with it i came across this problem when trying to add real HD's.

All the HD says "ACCESS DENIED"

Does anyone knows how to fix this?

I only have this problem under windows 8.

Try to disable the "UAC", User Account Control in Windows to see if the problem vanish. Before that drastic turn, make sure that WinUAE use the "User\Documents" path and not where you have installed WinUAE. Do not use Windows own HD as a real HD in WinUAE

You need to right-click winuae and select "run as administrator". That's not specific to Win8, it's like this since Vista.

Are you trying to mount the windows HDD's?.

If I need access to PC drives I just tick the add PC drives option. No problem with CF drives being available and I've never tried that method with pc drives though

Thank-s guys, i solved the problem running winuae with administration rights.

Just for your info, I didn-t add any windows drive, i tried to add CF cards and external hd.

It was stupid of me not running winuae with administration rights.

Disabling UAC didn-t work. Also using other paths is indiferent.
