Hey, what about the one I told you on Amibay?
Do you like it or not? You have a PM there with a link to some photos.

Cheers

It will interesting if you add PCMCIA to SCSI and add a compact flash, then test speed of transfer.

Dual PCMCIA slot would be even better.

The Idea is to get hold of at least 3 scsi cases. Then have CD, hard drive and then maybe CF ide to scsi...

But I am having some issues finding the right cases for my needs...

I am also planning to make a custom kryroflux box with 3.5" and 5 1/4" disk drives.

You just need one case which holds 2,3 or 4 units. Too many units look ugly to me 3 max is cool.

Why use a hardrive when you can boot from CF card* which should be same speed or faster.

*depending on speed of PCMCIA unit & CF card.

Why go CD when you can go SCSI DVD.

I shall be using a squirrell pcmcia interface... unsure if it can boot!
Well I had one years ago and im pretty sure it cannot?

Probably be simpler to just load up the scsi cases with a cd and some hard drives and then put the cf inside the a1200.

Got so many idea's and no space... finding it hard to find scsi cases that look good and can hold what i want... cant make my mind up

Squirrel doesn't autoboot, so bootdisk or through wb.

Just realised my external CD drive is in a SCIS case (single) with PSU that I "adapted" to IDE. All it needs is a normal SCSI socket to return it to full scuzzydom.

Still monkeying around with things but I may well end up not ever needing a CD drive again.
If it all works out, you can have it for postage.
