help with lha.run
So I have a new Amiga1200 with Harddrive and want to install WHDLoad. I need lha support so I'm trying to install with lha.run. My 1200 is running workbench 3.0 and I get lha.run is not an executable when I try to follow instructions I found here: http://guide.abime.net/wb3.1/chap4.htm
Basicall I'm told to type lha.run RAM: in shell but I get the error: "lha.run is not an executable" Anybody have any ideas about what I'm doing wrong..it seems like such a simple thing but its not working? |

There are only two possible reasons for this message: either the executable flag (e) is not set or the file is not executable because it has been corrupted.
For the e flag enter: protect lha.run +e In the latter case re-download the file. Presuming that you do not use your Amiga to download, you should better get lha_68k.lha, unpack it with 7-Zip or WinRAR or the like and copy lha_68020 to your Amiga. That's the latest version, lha.run contains an older one. |
