Coin-op-style equivalent of Competition Pro USB Joystick

Exasperated by use of gamepads, I want to upgrade to a proper joystick. I have found the Competition Pro USB joystick which seems to fit the bill except that the ergonomics of it are still just as awful as the old Competition Pros they had 20 years ago.

I'm looking for something like the Competition Pro except with coin-op style buttons/stick. Like the Multicoin Starcursor (probably the best stick ever made). Autofire is important but not force feedback.

Please don't say X-Arcade, I'm not making the same mistake twice.

Any ideas...?

Maybe try http://www.comparestoreprices.co.uk/...cade-stick.asp Fun to play and cheap. You can plug it to PC, PS2 and I can not identify third plug (GameCube?)

I'll take your word for it that you can plug it into an IBM-PC (didn't see any mention of this at that page), but unfortunately there seem to be none in stock in any case. I'll keep an eye on it though and see if maybe they get more stock in the future.

I did notice one problem with the unit though: the buttons are tiny and not at all like those on a coin-op where you can bash the button with your fist...but thanks anyway.

Found a picture of the kind of thing I'm looking for... (attached)

You can find it in other shops, just type logic3 arcade stick on google. That site was only to show you the photo. The buttons are not tiny, better photos and review: http://electronicgeek.wordpress.com/...stick-review/#
