[1] When Flink incorrectly mixes spell ingredients one of the results is the production of Lemmings.

Crystal Kingdom Dizzy

[1] The Blue Peter (a long-running UK TV children's show) flag is flown from the pirate ship. One of the items is also a Blue Peter badge, an award from the programme.

[2] Richard O'Brien appears in a parody of The Crystal Maze (a not-so-long running UK TV show) in the final level. The aim is to travel through areas (e.g. the Aztec Zone) in order to collect a crystal.

Legends

[1] Lots of vague references in this game but this one stands out. Jim Bowen, of UK TV darts programme Bullseye, makes an appearance in the castle.

Supercars 2

The Lotus Esprit Turbo Challenge game box on the top right shelf, just beside it may well be the box of "Super Cars" but I'm not sure.

Also the poster from one of the Supercars car is on the left (was it Retron Parsec?)

lol.

I thought this thread was going to be about games with cultural references, not mainly about games advertising other games (adware).

Bah.

Puggsy was written by "The Dome", wasn't it? Not Travellers Tales, which explains why it sicks.

Bah.
The thread's about specific references in games, whether cultural or otherwise. There are lots of film and TV programme references, for example.

I wouldn't class references to other games as adware. They are rather humorous in-jokes. Some are referencing games by other companies and where a developer/publisher does reference their own work it tends to be for older games which aren't specifically named.
