Question Schematic

I have been playing with http://123d.circuits.io/ .. and just wondering can we rebuild Amiga motherboard(s) itself from scratch? (and/or expansion modules, etc).

Edit: Never mind, found something already http://www.illuwatar.se/project_page...00/gba1000.htm

Some are easier, some are more difficult. If there's programmable logic involved and you don't have the code to go in that part, then it's more difficult.

Ah, familiar name .. I still working for your ex-company and didn't manage to get that A1200 :P
I just think PCB, not IC parts .. kind-of just make it "open", possible to extend/fix issues and perhaps even modernize ... like GBA1000 project is doing

Heh, Petro's still selling NOS A1200s.. Go for it!

So yes, the GBA1000 project is an example that given enough skill and patience, you can design a modernized board to fit in an old enclosure.

But I'm not sure what you're really looking for here? You said you want to rebuild Amiga motherboards.. The GBA1000 is a new design that's based on various Amiga schematics + a bit of Georg Braun's own special sauce. It is not rebuilt A1000 by any means.

Just something like take ICs from working Amiga and put to new "project" board with fixes/enhancements from community
My skills are rusty as hell .. haven't done anything electronic related in last 15 years (lack of interesting projects), but I think I still have good soldering skills even for SMDs
