winUAE righ mouse click stops working - cannot sort folders

Somewhat bizarrely everything was working fine but recently after booting winUAE I can only right click on workbench and sort but as soon as I right click and update, the right click menu that allows one to sort, update, etc., ceases to appear. The same thing happens when open a folder (any folder): right clicking on a blank part of workbench space to bring up the sort and update options ceases to work. Right clicking on some icons produces the menu that has "Disk-icon" in white at top but that is all. If I toggle to windows right click works fine. This is obviously an issue for viewing the contents of folders that contain many icons.

I have:

- run test/remap and right clicking works fine
- changed the settings from windows mouse to HID mouse but to no avail.
- reinstalled winUAE. No difference.


I am at the point where I will have to do a fresh install of workbench

Playing Banshee AGA just now my generic USB joypad saw its button 1 stop working mid mission on the way to Mova Scotia. As with the mouse doing a test/recap indicating button one was functioning.

Run in windowed mode and enable log window (winuae.exe -log). Do you see any hotswap events or some other log messages when you press the button for the first time or when it stops working?

What did you do when the dump file was created?
