Shame the current price for the cheapest SAM440 (w/ 512MB RAM and Gfx Card) is £263 (€332) WITHOUT OS4.1. Hopefully there will be some 'deals'!

 ...I promised myself I wouldn't comment on an OS4 thread again until there was actually hardware available on which it could be run. Now there is!   What next, an x86 port..? Sorry, couldn't resist - I do see this as good news, my regards to all involved. |

Just so I'm clear, even if I spend €332 on a motherboard and video card plus whatever other bits are needed (case, power supply, keyboard etc.) and €105 on AmigaOS 4.1 I still won't be able to run Speedball 2 without using an emulator which would run better on a PC that costs half as much? If that's true, what is the big deal about Amiga OS 4.1?

Well look i am a big fan of the Classic Amiga but this is absolutely astoundingly good news! I just can't afford to buy any of it right now though, and that really really sucks!.. I want to just hand over the cash right now but i cant.
 Maybe they will let me pay it off.. hehe... |
