Great work on this, looks incredible! Regarding specs, I Second your idea about turning off layers etc if you can get a stock aga version by doing so and an accelerated version it will please both camps.

Talking about updates on kick-ass looking Amiga games, any news on this, invent? This game looks absolutely mental, and there hasn't been any decent vertical shmups on Amiga since Battle Squadron, really.

Hi Akira,

Sure, actually I plan to post some graphics tomorrow night on my blog and here . Meanwhile if you haven't seen these.

Title Screen (Ham8)

We are at the moment working on HD menu system at the moment. I'd like to post that concept screen once it's up and running.

You may of seen these 6 levels

I plan posting some copper colour change effects for the background parallax's.
Will also be asking for some advice into a few ideas also

Today I'm focusing on getting graphics done for "Iridium" (that may also get posted once James and I agree on a few graphic strategies)

Also working on a game called "The Last UFO" (developing for the Amstrad CPC), that may come over to the Amiga platform later or first depending on finding coder/musicians.

Sooooo cool; can't wait for this to be finished / released

...and who says the Amiga scene is dead; over the past few years there's been many fine games in the pipeline / released. Not to mention new hardware / software / people's projects

Thanks for the feedback everyone

Steve, a few essential programs I use:

- Brilliance 2 (Amiga - Main program on Amiga I use)
- Grafx2 (Mac)
- Graphic Converter 9 (Mac) (this is an excellent program for converting into iff files)
- AmigaForever (Mac via Parallels Desktop/Windows 10) (testing)
- Photoshop (Mac main program for pixel art)
- WinUAE (testing)
- Lightwave (Mac)

The IFF save file via photoshop doesn't import into Brilliance nicely so I either open up in Grafx2 or Graphic Converter to open/save first.

Hi DamienD,
Thanks for asking and checking blog. Also i might post a teaser graphic on twitter https://twitter.com/invent71/

I plan to post in about 1 month an update. Away on family leave in Bali at the moment

Just a quick note that Iridium and Reshoot R are other active projects so progress is slow.

Invent I would like to ask You a question.
Is Your game somehow related to other cancelled game also called Proxima?

It was previewed in Italian magazine "TGM" issue 52 and 53.

@Gzegzolka

I guess not, since the idea is from Kevin - that is in Australia and i guess could not read the italian TGM; our Proxima3 is vertical scroller too!
furthermore there are indeed parallels in the logo but i guess is just a case of "Great Minds Thinks Alike" (same for that space level, that look very similar in concept to the discarded one on Powder).

That earth in the background is weird, seems copper generated though.... o_O
