You can drop the IDE, Sync bus, clock domain cross and the SRAM for the A1200.. which is pretty much the whole TF530. |

I see, I'm still in the process of researching the A1200's architecture, so please excuse my ignorance at this time. I guess I was getting confused about the 24bit address bus that the EC020 uses (like the 68k), however of course the A1200 has a dedicated processor expansion trap door which means this allows a full 32bit bus that a full 020 (and above) has I suppose, so the marshalling that's needed down through the 68k socket becomes redundant.
Out of interest, if I did a 630 Board based on your electrical hookup for the Tf530, would you possibly be able to provide an IDE 'brain damaged' firmware for it? I am a avionic systems engineer who deals in system integration design with AutoCAD on a daily basis and although I have some prior experience with programming languages (C++, 68K assembler) it's very rusty and my VHDL is certainly none existent (but perhaps I should learn it i guess) |

I've not got enough hours in the day to support other people's boards. But I'd recommend using the TF530s IDE if refactoring to A600 because its faster

I'm also interested what happen with CDTV. CDTV is only OSC/ECS Amiga wich interest me. With mouse and keyboard, it is actually big box Amiga. It is also most stylish Amiga ever.
Any one in Europe interest to build TF accelerators for sale? |

I suppose you have opened yours? Making something that fits into the 68000 socket, yet allows you to close the lid requires some creative engineering. I know kipper2k made an adapter for V500 that might also work for other boards. Alternatively, run your CDTV without the lid closed

Hey guys,
I'm in the process of building a TF530 (so much kudos to you terriblefire...) and I was wondering if anyone have a digikey basket export to make sure i'm not making any mistake in the order... Also anyone has a recommendation to buy the 68030 and 68881? Thanks! |

I am pretty sure it was in one of his videos......., he was diagnosing someone's TF530.., he ended up removing the 68881 and the board booted.. Chip mask 2B81G. [ Show youtube player ] Last edited by whiteb; 02 July 2017 at 12:57. |

@plasmab any chance we can revive the 530 CPU relocator board project?

A mere 68000 board to relocate the socket (like for A1000) ? Single layer with 1 68000 socket and 68000 Pin Headers. 2x 68000 profile's in Eagle, pin for pin routing, even Eagle's autorouter cannot mess that up (Surely ?) How do you want it laid out ? What do ya reckon of the autoroute ? Last edited by whiteb; 04 July 2017 at 07:04. |

I think the only thing we really need is the dimensions of the CDTV and the clearance required around the case/components etc?
Direct measurements ideally, or best guesstimate based on some good pictures? |

Yes, basically we need to make a board that allows the A500 case to be closed. Someone made a 90 degree angle adapter on twitter (hope they don't mind me linking the pic here), something like this. http://pbs.twimg.com/media/DD1VwOQWAAAWOfJ.jpg I never used eagle or any other CAD in my life, so it looks intimidating, but I suppose you gotta start somewhere. |
