I use OpenDNS as my DNS server. You can get there by clicking on main. Everything else seems to be working other than http://file1.npage.de/006167/02/html/games.html
EDIT: I think it's just a case of notifying OpenDNS. EDIT: Those without problems are probably not using OpenDNS as their DNS Server. |

Now there are a total of 2040 manuals online. Thanks for all people who has helped to be so! @LuMan: Thanks also. Cheers Josh |

I don't know what happens. I've started with Amigas since march this year. I though I should have seen all by now, but everyday I discover something new about it, like this great real project.
Thank you very much. |

Hi Everybody,
Now that my Amiga Manuals website has accumulated plenty of manuals I think it would be a good time to add a search function to the site. Unfortunately I don't understand how to implement one using databases and PHP etc etc. My question is, is there someone here that would be kind enough to do this for me? Obviously it's of a great benefit to all EAB members and visitors to the site if someone could implement a search function, that way there would be less of a need to browse through the whole collection. Thank you in advance. Cheers Josh |

I'd do it myself, but I lack the time (and frankly the motivation; web development isn't really my thing). However, since the site is hosted on my server, I'd like to add this for potentially interested developers: Within reason, I can set up any runtime environment (PHP is already present, Python, Ruby, etc. are options) and database (MySQL and PostgreSQL would be the most obvious) you want/need. Currently there's only simple FTP access, but shell access (again within reason and to trustworthy individuals) can also be arranged.

Theres nothing wrong with this website, it's perfectly safe.
Actually it's a great site, so great that i found a way of downloading every manual all at once hehehe... but that's a secret. I hope the owner doesn't mind, and try to understand i don't have the time to search the site so i prefer downloading everything a check it later. |

Well sometimes OpenDNS can be tricky, this things happened more often if you are using a Local Lan connection with static IP, i know that because i had the same problem with my Local Lan it kept giving me errors accessing certain sites and it point it out to the DNS, but the main problem was the static IP's i was using, after making them dynamic all problems disappear.

I have had trouble with OpenDNS in the past but it generally provides a good service, considering it's free. I didn't actually have time to see what the problem was but it's now fixed, so all good.

Earlier this evening, I got sniped when leading the bidding on eBay for a Commodore Amiga A590 Hard Disk Drive Service Manual!
I'm much happier now because I've just found it in PDF format on Josh's site! Thanks, Josh! And thanks also to whoever scanned/uploaded it! |
