Question Whats the name of this game?

Ok here is another game question for you all
I think this one will be a toughie cos its not a mainstream game. Here goes, think 3D fighter, but the graphics a very primitive, think polygons but no filling at all. The thing to note about this game is that you can have a split screen and have two ppl playing, making awsome 2 player dog fights

If you play against the computer you start by flying in the opposing directions once you cross each other its dog fighting time... great playability.

The game comfortably fits on a disk, as it was part of a compilation. I'm sure it will run on a stock 500 with only 512k ram.

No terrain, just green/blue for ground/sky.

Sounds Like... Skychase(1988)

Two windows, blue sky, green ground.

You can play against the computer or another opponent.

If I knew how to grab a screen in Winfellow I could show it to you, but the keys they say to accomplish this don't work for me...

It's usually found on compilation disks because of it's small program size.

Anyway, I have it if you want it...

No need. Just press "Print Screen" on your PC keyboard and paste the resultant image into your favourite graphics package.

Hey, thanks.

I've tried that as per the Winfellow docs, but nothing happens. They say to hit alt and print screen...

I've tried everything including your suggestion, but I get no reaction on the screen. Isn't there supposed to be some pop-up requester window or something that lets you know the picture was taken?

Or maybe it just automatically goes somewhere, like another dimension...

It goes into memory. To see the copied pic open the Clipboard Viewer.

Anyway this is how you do it step-by-step.

Run Winfellow in 800x600 full screen mode with pixel doubling on.

When emulation has been started then press "Print Screen" on your PC keyboard.

Now press F11 on your PC keyboard to pause emulation.

Now open your favourite graphics package i.e. Paint Shop Pro.

and paste. The paste icon on the toolbar or press CTRL+V
Hope that helps

Thats when in Window mode instead of full screen mode.

No, not quite.
PrintScreen alone works perfectly in windowed mode as well.
The difference is as follows:

(1) Alt-PrtSc - capture the WinUAE window ONLY
(2) PrtSc - capture the WHOLE screen

@ Miggy2TheMax

I don't know if this is the disk that you remember, but I think you might like it anyway...

It's a Defjam compilation disk (#10) and it's very well put together, not like some others that offer little and have hard to type in menus and glitches.

This disk contains:
- Army Moves
- Bomb Jack
- Computer Scrabble
- Quadralien
- Sky Chase
- VectorBall
- Whirligig

How's that for filling up a disk? I've never seen one so packed. I'll put it in the zone.

Thanks to all of you for the screen save instructions. I'll give them a try tonight and report back here...

Sorry, Miggy, but the zone seems to be full right now. I'll keep this disk on standby and wait till some space clears up...
