Archive.org Online Amiga Software Library

Just read that now more than 10000 Amiga Games are available online at Archive.org in its new Software Library - Amiga.

Cool thing even if most games aren't working correctly yet. I wonder which was the source for them. My guess is they are from the TOSEC collection.

I wonder about the legal process behind this. Surprised to see currently being profied off of things like Frontier or Bubble Bobble.

I think it is good idea to preserve those games in archive.org . Probably, just like they done with ms-dos games, "it is as it is" with legal issues, some games might disappear if someone contact them. Plus, I'm sure they run those games on basic configs, so there could be lot of stability/glitches issues.

But it isn't 10,000 games

It's just over 1,000 full games with the odd demo thrown in for good measure
