kickstart burn problem

Hi, i try burn kick Kickstart v3.0 rev 39.106 (1992)(Commodore)(A1200)[!].rom

I have clone of willem Programmer and in willem prog i select swap bytes and burn all process burn and verify its dane wothout errors

Eprom is 27c160

Unfortunetly rom ddosent work...

Its amiga 500

Someone can help?

hi, try an unmodified 3.1 rom for A500. i'm pretty sure, the ROM for A1200 wont work within an A500.

and please remove the link to the kickstart files (edit your message) to prevent any trouble

Ok but i try to make HDD controller from this http://sblive.narod.ru/Amiga/IDE/IDE.htm

I was build this controller but its dosent work. I was check all connects many times and I was change all chips... Nothing, its dead. Hard drive work but in early menu and in workbench disk is not detected. On website project author using this kickstart form my post maybe i must have this one. I was tested on 3.1 kickstart for amiga 500 /600

ah, now i understand. I had no idea there is an amiga community in russia, which does/did such expansions

No, i was translate text and autor no says about any hardware change its stock a500

Well, Micronik A500 busboard did have place for KS1.2/1.3, 2.x and 3.x two chips version before 3.1 came out so plain 68000 is expected to work.

Did you make the kickstart file 2mb? That kickstart file is 512kb, the EPROM is 2mb, so you need to make a new file which contains 4x the original file. To do this from windows, rename the kickstart file something simple like "kickstart.rom" then open a command prompt and go to the directory containing your kickstart file, type;

copy /B kickstart.rom+kickstart.rom+kickstart.rom+kickstart.rom /B kickstart2mb.rom

That should create a 2mb file containing 4 copies of your kickstart file, called "kickstart2mb.rom", write this to your EPROM and try it.

Also, for 3.1, so maybe 3.0, rev 3/5 A500 motherboards need pin 31 bending out so it doesn't go into the socket, a jumper between pin 1 and pin 31 on the board, and jumper between pin 21 and 31 on the chip.
