recap of a4000
I was wondering if there is anyone in Canada that does recap service for a A4000. I have a couple that should be done but shipping to UK to amigakit is expensive I will if I need to but I would like to find someone here locally.
Thanks for your input. |

Not in Canada but at least the same continent, Acill does recapping in California so it might be worth checking him out.

He's on this forum, though not particularly active. His website is www.acill.com so I'd start there, otherwise he's regularly in the Commodore Amiga group on Facebook.

whatever you do, dont send it to amigakit, you might not get it back for a few years and it might be in worse condition than when you sent it, if you do get it back

Hi Shaf, You are in driving range. How much do you charge and do you do any repairs as well. I have 3 A4000's 2 working but need recap. The third there was some battery damage to the board near the ram sockets. It doesn't seem to want to boot. Thanks

Hi Source,
I'm just south of Major Mackenzie Drive between Bayview and Yonge. I'm busy with TV repairs currently but might be able to get to them next week. Pricing is approx $40 per board assuming an hours work + Parts. I can also look at the board with battery damage, and see if any traces require repairing. Thanks
I would not be able to do anything for a few weeks with Christmas and newyears and all. But that sounds great. |
