Amiga 600 failed booting

I'm really new to Amiga world. I bought a working unit a few years ago but last week when I tried to use it I realized that something was wrong whith it.
The green light lits on, there's a very short sound comming from the disk drive ant that's all. No signal on screen and no more activity.
I'd like to repair it because it has a very good cosmetic aspect it but I don't know where to start.
I know that changing my Amiga by a new one is a good solution, but I live in Spain and most of the Amiga are in UK and shipping cost are to be considered.

-Change mother board, by which one?
-Change disk drive, is so were to get it?
-Change power unit?

Have you tried all three video outputs? RGB, composite and RF?
Remove any chip mem expansion card from the trap door slot.

I've made some tests .
The Amiga has three video connectors on its back. I can't check the biggest one named "VIDEO" because I don't have the proper cable, so I checked again the yellow one named "COMP." and the brown one named "R.F. MODULATOR". In both cases I used a TV. When I turned on the Amiga all the noise in TV disappear, stays in black but no picture is shown.

If I insert a floppy in its drive the computer ignore it. No sound and no intention to read it.
The greed light for the "Caps" always stays on.
I don't have any expansion in my Amiga.

What do you think?

same problem. after many minutes with green lights on, it works fine. probably it's time to replace the caps

Check your power supply. It might actually be the PSU which needs to be recapped.

You are connecting the composite output to your composite or SCART input on your TV, and the RF output to the antenna input on your TV?

I just plugged the RF output to the input antenna TV but it doesn't work.
What about the 3,5" disk drive lack of activity when I insert a floppy?

Are you sure the drive is correctly connected to the motherboard?

What about the kickstart?
Is it 3.1, 3.1 takes at least 40 secs with no HDD connected.

Have you tried it without the top cover/keyboard on? I had a similar problem and it was the keyboard coming loose and getting hard sandwiched on the floppy drive and shorting out on the rear somehow .gave me the same symptoms as you

Remove all electrolytic SMD caps and power up - it will work without them if the rest is fine (no sound though). You will know then if it is easy repair . Just use small pliers and gently twist them right left and they will come off without damage to PCB

-Check video with a Composite to Scart cable: Failed
-Wait at last 40 seconds to see any signal: Failed
-Open my A600 and check disk drive connections: Pending
-Check Keyboard cables: Pending
-Remove all Electrolytic SMD caps: Pending.

I'll check it and I'll come back with the results.

I've opened the A600 and inside looks pretty good, no dust, no rust...
It is a pity It doesn't work

I've checked the power supply. There are 5 cables:
Black with white: -14,24 v
Black with brown: 14,39 v
Black with red: 5,33 v
Black with yellow: 0,05 v
The fuse is ok.

It's recommended to change the capacitors in the mother board, but which one? Is there a guide that can show how to do this?

Very bad idea. You could easily pull pads off the board by doing this.

This method actually works very nicely. I use it myself and never had a bad pad. If the pad looks corroded to start with then i use chipquik

It is best idea ever, not mine - as I remember I got it from rauker (thanks), try it and you will love it, do it gently and do not squeeze to much or the cap will leak, I use small cutters, twisting not rocking. 5 minutes job, Just remove all of them as all will have to be replaced eventually. The good board is working without them (at least will go to kickstart screen without freezing)
