I'm using WinUAE in a multimonitor setup (High-res LED for RTG and old CRT monitor for native screenmodes) and was wondering if it would be possible to have an option that automatically blanks the non-active screen to black?

Background: Currently if I start a native game or demo from RTG workbench then output jumps correctly to the second monitor, but revealing the Windows 7 desktop on monitor one again. Which kind of distracts from having a single uniform Amiga experience . It would be very cool if the non-active monitor could be blanked to black.

I guess this easily falls in the category of a feature request, but I would like to add that a real Amiga with a mediator pci busboard (from Elbox) with a gfx card and two monitors attached (one vga to the pci card and one old crt monitor to the standard 15 khz video output) shows exactly that behaviour. So it would bring emulation a step closer to how a real Amiga with dual monitor setup (at least the one described) behaves .

I guess this will also fall into your "silly list of things", but if it would be possible, then I hope you'll consider adding this option to have the non-active monitor screen in a multi-monitor setup blanked when winuae is active.

I think this forum is more correct

Technically it would be easy to open black non-border "full-screen" window to "blank" the monitor
