Gary never tested any PCIe cards and I have purchased numerous Nvidia PCX 5750 cards with no success with any of them. A friend tried the 5300 with no luck as well.

I've used PCI fx5200 and fx5500 perfectly.

Finding the smallest memory version is the best option as the unusable ram still sits in the AmigaOS memory space taking up available fast ram. Maimum allocated for Picasso 96 is 16 MB.

Possibly, I have no experience with that card.

The 8788 is reported as supported so perhaps.

Did anyone ever figure out how to get Warp3D hardware acceleration working on Amithlon, using, for example, a voodoo 3dfx card? I've seen references to modifying the drivers in a few areas but not the full explanation.

I don't believe the information was ever published nor the hacked driver files. It was mentioned in discussion threads/messages, but I think even Bernie said he never saw it demoed or the modifications supposedly done to make it work. Otherwise Voodoo cards are the least supported cards in Amithlon.

Excellent. This is one benchmark test I have seen test results for but could never get to run. Great work on discovering PuhDerBaer running allows this benchmark to run.

Did anyone try AmiSSL4-based browsers like IBrowse 2.5 or NetSurf 3.10 on Amithlon? I can't get HTTPS websites to work in those browsers, while in IBrowse 2.4 and NetSurf 3.6 they work flawlessly.

AmigaOS 3.1.4 working with Amithlon
- used the A2000/A500/A600 Kickrom (A1200 Kickfile works too)
- battclock and battmem changed to the old Amithlon Files - all other 4.1.4 Files
- HD Toolbox from 3.1.4 not working

That is to be expected as Amithlon uses a modified HD Toolbox.

Amithlon is using a single partition as a harddisk on the amiga side. Meaning the rdb is installed for this partition only and not for the complete harddisk as it should be.

It may have worked if the partition was mounted in the emulated side of amithlon, but hd access is done nativly (afair)

Did you change the scsi device in the icon for HDToolBox? I just fired my Amithlon 3.1.4 configuration up and I can see my drives.

SCSI_DEVICE_NAME=amithlon.device instead of scsi.device.

HDToolBox in Amithlon works on hard drives as well. I have a boot DOS drive and the a second drive just for Amithlon. It was a bare drive completely partitioned and formatted by HDToolBox.

HDToolBox is the same in Amithlon as whatever AmigaOS version you are running. I have 3.1, 3.9 and 3.1.4 boot partitions and various modified kickstarts for Amithlon on my DOS boot drive (in multiple smallird.gz files) and I call the associated "small" file with loadlin to load the version of Kickstart/OS I want (using the both mouse buttons on boot to select the booting partition).

No is a standard HDToolbox OS3, on VirtualBox with HDToolBox you can also create a "fully Amiga compatible" HardFile and share it with WinUAE.

The standard HD Toolbox can't use type 76 partitions as rdb drives as amithlon does. I read somewhere that there are a few modifications.
