I ran it yesterday with WinUAE basic A500 settings, no problems. However, I had to update WinUAE first as the previous version would hang (HALT2) at the red dots part.

Yes, no missing part (except the integrated disk copy which at this point is useless) and fully functional.

It is not the first widespread ADF that lacked track 80 (therefore non-standard and unusable), but a refactored version with missing data extracted from the $1800 bytes ($600*4s) / tracks version and reorganized and tricked for a normal ADF.

Good stuff. That voxel engine reminded me of Verge World, that game which went kinda dormant...but I think they made the engine open source?

Just for the sake it can be done (why not?), I'm trying to write a disk using writetranshuman on my A1200. It only flashes the drive light at a steady interval of about 2 seconds and the drive appears to do nothing. It's an Escom machine, maybe the drive is incompatible, or do I need an A500 anyway to do this?

Yes, you need a floppy that support READY signal.
So a no-no for ESCOM A1200.

Okay, thanks for clearing that up, Ross!

Time to dust off the A500 (the 1200 has hogged all desk space for weeks now anyway!).

A floppy by snail mail.

But later Bifat made available an executable ("writetranshuman") that write to floppy in non-standard format.
EDIT: of course in emulation it can write to an MFM disk image format (like an eADF)

It might be worth noting that the original snail mail distributed floppy did not use the custom format written by that executable, and can in fact be stored as plain ADF image without modifications. The only problem is that it contains 81 tracks instead of the usual 80, and not all tools support it, which lead many to mistake it for copy protection. WinUAE, Gotek with Flashfloppy firmware, and (by the look of the source code) Mister do support it. If anyone is interested in checking out the unmodified "party" version, I converted it from an IPF image posted at Pouet.
