Open Source forum software that works with IBrowse?
Hi all,
I maintain a (now aging) vBulletin 4 installation, which I am considering upgrading to something newer/better. There are plenty of open source options these days, but does anyone know if some of them work with Amiga browsers (e.g. IBrowse 3)? That would be a bonus point. I can start setting some up as a test and check manually of course, but I thought maybe someone has already done that, and perhaps there's some knowledge that can be shared. |

@midwan
The IBrowse support is not about the framework that you are going to use but a matter of the theme it uses. If the framework is something that support themes, you can make one that works on IBrowse, without CSS and heavy JS. Please avoid any framework that heavily uses JS, like React, VueJS etc. Those are not going to work no matter what. |

Amigaworld.net seems to work quite well on IBrowse, do we know what they are using?

They are using xoops, like amigans.net, with custom theme. Have in mind that xoops as a platform is not bug free, slowly updated and most of the plugins quite old.
I wouldn't recommend using it to build a forum. |
