Very interesting hardware, just a shame there is only one game available for it.

Is Konix someway Amiga related?, I was looking at the games line up and Robocod and Last Ninja 2/3 were mentioned.

Edit: Just tried the emulator out, its very early stages but it works to an extent. The sound was very messed up and some joypads are not supported as mine didn't work at all (Microsoft USB Sidewinder) the dos window said currently it's set up for 360 controllers which I found a bit strange. I couldn't get it to play on keys either.
I will keep an eye on this emulator as I see it could be good in the future, maybe a win32 version with a proper way to load the games would be better (currently you drop the roms onto the executable to load a game, bit caveman like imo)

It was made by a british company and a lot of british developers were approached to make games for it. That's the main relation. Also, the system architecture seems Amiga-inspired, using custom chips and a blitter-of-sorts.

With JoyToKey you can map the keyboard controls to buttons, works fine here with AMC '89. Unfortunately the only playable beta so far. This "Bikers" game looks pretty good. 8086 CPU, 6MHz, 256 Colors.

Some games looks like Lynx games with high resolution, some like NES games with Amiga sound.

This video answers one of the question I had: This the same Konix that made the Konix navigator joystick (see 2:07).

That was a pretty ambitious project. It would have been interesting to have seen it released and see how it would have influenced the video game industry.
