70ns A1200 RAM in an A600?

Hi,

I may need to replace a bad RAM chip in my A600... does anyone know if I can replace the standard 512k 80ns chips with 70ns 512k chips from an A1200?

Cheers,

Tom

I was under impression you could put RAM which had potential to be faster but not slower... but to answer your question, I'm not sure if the RAM itself is compatible or not. Sorry.

Yeah, that was my understanding too... but not prepared to pull the trigger without confirmation (I can get A1200 RAM easier than A600 stuff).

Cheers,

If the pin count is the same, then it will work fine.
