How to save Eye Of The Beholder with a CD32

Trying to figure out how to Save a game on the CD32 for Eye Of The Beholder. All of the memory slots are unlocked so that isn't the issue.

I find no information about a CD32 version on Hall of Light from a quick glance?

If there is one, HOL should know and such a version would use NVRAM. Otherwise I think you have to save to an external floppy disk (via expansion adapter).

I came across it on one of Amiga Jay's Anthology CD Sets and thought I would check it out.

OK, can't really check what's in the download as his blog that this article links to is removed.

But in general, if there's many games per CD it's unofficial, meaning there could be games on it that were never released for CD32, and every OCS floppy game that saves, saves to a floppy drive.

I guess finish it in one go, leaving it on when you have to stop playing?

Yes, sorry the compilations containing Amiga games are either mainly whdload versions or ripped adfs, none will save to the CD32’s NV-RAM unless specified, only a dozen or so games by Earok or Cobe have been made to save this way, and even then its always a case of if a game can be compressed into the tiny 1K NV-RAM.

The discs i made in general are more for the casual Amiga gamer with a stock CD32 playing a little bit here and there or mainly arcade style games that don't require saving, for anything else its really recommended to get a expansion card with cf card and use whdload collections from hdd so you can save and play that way.

For the curious ones, the savegame size is about 32Kb on a newly started game, compressed with "lha -3" it goes down to 8650 bytes.
