can't get amiga soccer working

i've been trying to get Amiga Soccer (1988)(Microdeal)[cr Thrust][b doscopy].zip to work using winuae, it always goes back to the intro screen just before match kickoff.
this game seems to have a few alias http://hol.abime.net/1992 but non of them seem to be available anywhere and there also appears to be no ipf version.
i imagine the reason the available version does not work is due to the [b doscopy] tag rather than not using the right config for winuae.
does anyone have a workinf copy of this game? any of the alias versions would be great.

thanks for the reply but that version is exactly the same and it has the same crc. i think that maybe the planetemu image has not been updated to show the [b doscopy] like the version from tosec on the eab server.
from years of scouring the net for roms and such i know that telecharger = download but thanks for the headsup

Have you played this before? IIRC you have to press F5 or something similar on the settings screen to start a match. Are you able to get past that stage?

Another link to try. Probably the same archive you already have.

I was able to break out of that loop and kick the ball around a little by fiddling with the backspace key. Also sprint doc #10 disk lists some keys and their functions.

There is only one version in the TOSEC set and its the one with the [b doscopy] in the title.

What does the "doscopy" mean in this case?

thanks capehorn. it works when pressing F5 at the settings screen. i was pressing other keys before and it appeared like a match was about to start and then it would loop to the title screen which i now figure was just a demo mode before start game.
it never occured to me to press F5, i just figured the game was messing up just before kick off.

I would assume that someone has used the diskcopy command to copy the game instead of X-Copy or another proper disk copier.

When you do this with a NDOS disk it often results in a bad copy which either doesn't work or only partially works.

About doscopy flag:
In this case the image still works, musicdata affected by this doscopy.
I think it is even possible to fix doscopy damage, since music in good condition is available.

But diskcopy copies tracks as they are, not the single files one by one. I mean: it doesn't look at disk contents.
So a diskcopy is equivalent to X-Copy in non-nibbler mode.

Unless the disk contains some error protections. In that case a diskcopy will fail or lead to an incorrect copy.

So the doscopy flag means a file-by-file copy... is it true?

TOSEC [b doscopy] flag + discriptor means:
Disk was copied with WB utility/command "Diskcopy".
This utility/command is not suitable for NDOS disks, since it writes data to Rootblock(880).
In case of
Amiga Soccer (1988)(Microdeal)[cr Thrust][b doscopy]
there are 4 bytes affected.($6E014-$6E017)
As i wrote music/sampledata only, more than likely even not noticable by listening.

BTW: In a lot of other cases this doscopy on NDOS disks causes indeed a non working copy, especially if Data at Block 880 is crunched/packed.

Oh... I see...
I didn't know that the Diskcopy command made not-100%-equal-to-source copies...
Phew... thank god I always kept the write tab disabled and used X-Copy, back in the day.
