Hi, the answer is no, there isn't any option to prevent the creation of log files.

Under Linux you can redirect them to NIL: (to speak amigaish ):
Code:
ln -sf /dev/null fs-uae.log.txt
ln -sf /dev/null fs-uae-launcher.log.txt
You still have the files, but they are always empty.

@frode: i ask because the size of the fs-uae-launcher.log.txt turns out to be very massive for a txt file ~ about 20mb! i deleted it but it is rising again.

ok, this could be due to the fact i still run the old win portable setup under linux. anyway, i wished there was an option to turn it off.

@jbl007: thank you for the workaround, will try soon.

ps: and yet another late xmas feature whish for fs-uae launcher: possibility to play the selected game's mod music in defined external player.

Personally, I don't feel a 20 MB file is a problem, but I can consider creating an option to disable logging:

Oh, and regarding music, how about a built-in module player?
(Not included yet, uses uade123 engine for playback )

Also, it would require some way to associate modules with games, either via the online game database and/or locally - which does not exist yet.

ah ok, so it is not a rare case then. and i believed it is probably related to not running the native linux version.

the future plans for playing mods is looking brilliant, can't wait to see it finally working
