Ambermoon Arcade - speed test (real hardware)

Hi there.
I finally decided that AA will be some kind of a Rastan clone.
Here is a speed test for real Amigas.

I tend to the "small version" because it´s faster and it improves the playibility. It might look a bit strange, though.

What do you think?
Thanks for your help.

Yes, the small version is indeed a bit faster on my A1200/030 machine. I get a System request "File not found" message after 20-30 seconds.

Thanks, Retro!
Okay, maybe a file is missing. I check it out!

It should work! I killed the boss and the game returns to the title screen.

Maybe. Anyway, a Rastan clone is better than another Golden Axe.

can't test on real amiga, but i like those screenhots...
would you like some help for the graphics? nothing too much time consuming, sadly, maybe the background?

I have tested both versions on A4000/060 but couldn't see any big speed-difference. Is it possible to show the FPS-rate?
BTW I also receive this error-message(File not found exception) when I loose/the game over is reached.
But good work so far. Looks great!!!
@marco pedrana: I think new gfx for background or sprite is nice and would improve the game.

Thank you so much for your great offer!

All gfx are from Golden Axe III (MD). So I already have the look and feel I wanted for AA.

And check out this post (old DSA Arcade thread):

But I have another more advanced game in mind I´d like to start after the completion of AA. Would be really cool to have you on board...

There is a difference on the 060 but it´s marginal.
I want to optimize it for the 030.

It is not possible to display the framerate.

Ahhh, okay! The GameOver screen is missing. Never mind.

Thanks for testing and your kind words.

But be warned: AA will be anything but sophisticated!

Nice to see a new game on the amiga

tested on a '030 A600 and runs better with the small screen in my opinion!

Level 3 030 speed test

Hi again.

Please be so kind and check out the Level 3 030 speed test.

Is it fast enough (especially in the beginning)?
Or do I have to remove some of the baddies?

020 or 040/060 users are welcome to test it as well.

Thank you very much.

I think it's a bit too slow for 030 cards. Maybe you should remove the two pike fighter in the beginning.

And compared to the first level?

Edit: ...so the rest is okay?

The same speed imho, after the slow beginning (4-5 seconds).
