There's a hack at aminet to mod 72 pin SIMMs to GVP 64 pin, however it's quite complex, shitload of work ...

http://aminet.net/package/docs/hard/gvpsim64

on the other hand, the mod includes the pinouts for the GVP SIMMs, and I have some evil plans ...

http://www.pcbcart.com/cart.php
http://www.cadsoft.de/

it should not be so dificult to design a layout. now if somebody could help me learn/register eagle we could make a production run of 64 pin SIMM PCBs and mounting RAM on them shouldn't be so difficult.

If we knew what kinda of demand there would be it might be worth (financial) making a 100 or so 4Mbyte ones.

what kind of price would a batch of 100 be then alexh ?

what if you sold it in KIT form ? wouldn` this make it cheaper?

maybe even have it so that you (if you really wanted to) solder 72pin sims directly to the card ?

I'd prefer pre-made ('cause I'm lazy) but kits are good too...

ahhh but kits give that much needed feel of "i built that"

that indeed is a good feeling, and one must feed that monster from time to time.

I've asked around and the demand is quite low.

It's something that people ask about every once in a while but no-one really cares as they usually get a different accelerator....

I think we should look for some NOS before considering making any.

Several places say they sell them... albeit at high prices
