Hi Roger,
I think that you should type the following values: DosID: 53465300 Mask: FFFFFFFF MaxTransfer: 1FFFE In matter of buffers depends of how much memory do you have.. the more, the better but a value between 300 and 500 for the buffer is very good. Hope I have helped |

Mmmmh i found this in the Walkthrough for Amiga OS4:
3.3d Blocksize should always be 512 with SFS to get the best performance. 3.3e Maxtransfer Should be (A1200ppc/A4000ppc OS4) 1FE00 and A1/Sii0680/Sii3112 it should be 0x7FFFFFFF 3.3f Mask should be (A1200ppc/A4000ppc OS4) 0xFFFFFFFE and A1/Sii0680/Sii3112 it should be 0xFFFFFFFE can i take this for OS3.1 or this: Mask = 0x7ffffffe (There are 6 f’s) MaxTransfer = 0x1fe00 Blocksize = 512 Last edited by RogerWilco09; 23 April 2009 at 22:27. |

I originally set mine up with a 1024 block size, this seemed to give more peformance but then I read about the fact that you need to set it for 512 for legacy apps so now I've changed it (1200 running 3.9 and using a compact flash card). With the values for mask and max transfer you can actually play with these a little if you are after more performance, I've recently set mine to the max settings and all seems fine (the lower settings are for older hd's), details are on the SFS site.

If you can run with both set to maximum, you are lucky that your controller's driver is programmed well. |
