Virtual Karting 2 WHDLOAD

Hi,

just wondering does anyone have a working copy of this game?

It must be whdload. I have the one from DeCreator's install but the graphics are garbled on both winuae and my a1200. Anyone got a proper copy or some hints to get it working?

I don't know if it works with WHDLoad version but it should.

EDIT: Seems to still have garbled gfx... at least on winuae anyway.

Will have to try it on my real miggy soon.

It was definately okay on an earlier winuae otherwise i would not have released it. Thats why there is no asterix game yet included because it loads part way then stops, with no real amiga to test it, i have not released it.

Not meaning to sound picky but you can't have checked them all.

After all Super Off Road doesn't work as we found out recently, and Thomas The Tank Engine Pinball AGA crashes on table 4, so those two have slipped through, so Virtual karting could be one of these too.

And I did try this on my real amiga not just in winuae and the gfx are a mess. The actual road and cars are there but the colours are completely wrong.

If anyone has had any luck running this on a real amiga can you let me know!

Superoff Road definately works with whdload version 15.2 in winuae am playing it now, so it seems it is an issue with later whdload rather than my version.

I admit thomas slipped through the net though

Ah that is interesting...

Might have to add another version of whdload to my menu system temporarily until it's updated to whdload 16.3

Virtual Karting seems to be an error playing from the whdload install or from the normal dos files as well (at least for me).

Thats the issue though with so many old whdload slaves not all of them will work with the newest whdload, thats why i keep all my versions then just rename them.

I test the new releases with the latest whdload, if it works i include it in the pack if not (e.g Asterix Getafix) then I leave it out. I do not have time to test every slave with every possible version of whdload and against every release of winuae.

Apart from those two (VK2 and TTP) and the few that had viruses, I have had all the others working on my real amiga when i had it or in winuae.

DeCreator...

I've noticed an error with your flashback install. If you pick up the holocube and then assign it using F1, when you try and use it, the game asks for disk 3.

I've just installed it from caps and it works fine. Might want to correct this for the next release!

I've uploaded it here anyway (someone on irc wanted it) to save you the effort. it's zip though so you'll probably want to lzx it up instead.

Cheers for that have redone from caps 1163. Will do german and french versions if there are any requests to do so.

I think that one was one i picked up from the net though

Was a game i never really got into so never got that far to see the problem. If you or macca find anymore let me know and if i have the caps image i will re do it.
