Happy Edge "Retro Collector's" Magazine On Sale Today

I've not been able to locate a copy yet (well, its only 9am ) but there is a Edge magazine special all about retro game collecting out today (2nd December).

You can't miss it - it is bright yellow.

I guess only available in the UK unfortuneately...

I have no idea, it was just a guess. Do you get the normal Edge magazine? If so, perhaps it isn't just UK...

Had I flick through the mag today in WhSmith. Had about 4-5 pages on the amiga , some of which were just big pictures.

Nice... but for £5 [!!!!] for a fairly slim mag I wasnt really tempted. I hope Edge aren't just going to keep churning these things out willy nilly....

It's nice to see retro in current print, but since I have my own collection of oldschool magazines buying it was a bit pointless; price is a little steep too. Perhaps that's why flicking though the mag didn't seem special to me.

Whenever I feel like reading retro, I pick up zero issue 1. Or perhaps a little C&VG. Or The One. hmmmm, nope I'll go with Amiga Format. Or should it be CU Amiga etc etc etc.

I'm lucky enough to have a huge tower of old school mags that are the real deal when it comes to reading about nostalgia. Shame on anyone here who threw theirs away or made the fatal error of leaving them at their "parents house" for safe keeping, only for them to surprisingly disappear!!!!

I realise loads of people like yourself Unknown will find this mag useful, just adding my personal feelings towards it........

..........and getting a dig at those who "lost" their Amiga mags and regret it now.

I agree with Bloodwych

I didnt find the Edge mag particularly nostalgic though.... but Amiga Power does get the tiniest of mentions - apparently Amiga Format "spawned" [if that was the word] A.P.

Blasphamy!!!

AP issue zero was actually included with Amiga Format 1 or 2 months before issue 1 was released........so technically they are correct!

Four.

As they quote CAPS, and even me personally - so no, not really

But the main reason is that they are not all for me.

Yes and no. It is indeed "Retro Issue #3", however the first one was just a load of reviews of games, while the second one was about the making of a load of games. This third one is more about the systems themselves.
