James, sorry about the delay just been a bit hectic. I think with these disks it's again a case of them being redistributed by Online PD, your readme isn't there unfortunately. Basically all their games were in alphabetical order so if you wanted Karnov (greatest game ever!) you ordered disk number whatever and got a load of games starting with K. When I right click 'information' on the individual snapshots I get a date maybe indicating when they were first created, bit of a long shot but maybe yours? For example of date ranges on Spectrum Games Pack #1, Ant Attack created 23/10/1992 (quite a few of these), Apache 29/4/93, Back2Skool 1/1/1993, Batman 11/3/93 and Batty 6/5/94. Like I say bit of a long shot that these dates are significant, who can remember that far?!! I can ADF the disks anyway if that's any use to you, best of luck with your search and, of course, thanks for making these snapshots available in the first place, chances are I and many others got to play and enjoy the games again!

Ive been sorting out my cupboard and have found an Amiga shareware Cd titled:
"Prima Technologies Ltd Amiga Shareware Volume 1' On the cd it has a Spectrum Emulator and some games so I've attached it here. There is a file 'spectrum.doc' which has a lot of details in it. |

I just foun this thread by having played the cute cracktro here : http://www.flashtro.com/index.php?e=...=Amiga&id=3523
I just downloaded the "Your Megalomanic Spectrum Collection - ADF [adf images instead of dsq].zip" file from the EAB FTP file server (folder "TheZone/files/_2014/") and tried the first disk "Spectrum Games Collection Disk 01.adf" in WinUAE. These are not bootable disk, an emulator is needed (cf the "ReadMe.txt" file in the ADF). Can someone light everyone how to run them on an Amiga ? I presume that a fast A1200 is required to have a good result, did someone tried ? Btw, is there a floating ADF disk somewhere with the great Cyrus cracktro and games of pack 1 directly runable ? I also saw that a WHDLoad of the pack 1 exists. |

"Hello, and welcome to "Your Megalomanic Spectrum Collection" This is hand crafted collection of 174 programs for Spectrum emulators. It can be used on any emulator that accepts Mirage Microdrive .SNA format compatible .SNAPSHOT files. Some of these emulators are Spectrum 1.7/2.0 on Amiga, ZX-AGA 1.3 on Amiga, KGB 1.3 on Amiga, JPP on IBM PC, !Speccy on Acorn Archimedes, XZY V0.5 on Unix+X and !MZX V1.0 on Acorn Archimedes. Every file on this collection is checked, and includes the full name, author/software company and release name, if found from file. There should NOT be any dupes. Note that the files use fully the Amiga-filenames, and are quite longer than your normal IBM PC can handle. Additionally many files use AmigaDOS Comment-option, with some of mentioned information as Comment. I don't know how other computer formats handle this, but since I haven't been able to Comment Amiga-files on PC-formatted disks, I guess they won't harm you. Though the programs, or most of them, still have copyright, much of them are nowadays freely distributable, as the software companies have released their old Spectrum games to the public. Wise move. Though I'm sure some of this software still retains it's copyright/donotdistribute-flags, I just can't believe anyone really cares about that anymore. Who gets any income from selling mega-old Spectrum software commercially anymore? This is the Volume 1 release of "Your Megalomanic Spectrum Collection", including 174 pieces of Spectrum software, totalling 8.5 megabytes. Unfortunately for many of you, more is coming. A huge load of about 38 megabytes of archived and non-checked software is coming to me... BEWARE! They will be released as updates to YMSC1, and no piece of software on Vol1 will be found from the hugehuge Vol2, or vice versa. I simply say, ENJOY. I'd had many lovely moments with these old games. Spectrum is just awesome computer. :-) And on Amiga 1200/030 the games run just as fast as on real Spectrum, though sounds still give something to hope for... Flames, thanks etc. to: Grendel@Freenet.hut.fi Yours, Jukka O. Kauppinen / Grendel/Byterapers, Inc. " |

i'm not sure if it's what you want, but aminet lists some spectrum emulators.
#1) i made a bootable adf using adfview. added whdload and the cyrus cracktro. it does work and boot here using kickstart 3.1 030/882 aga setup. #2) i've added CBSpeccy to the adf and 3 snapshots. not much space left, but it is working. once the emulator started a game , you can goback to settings with F10 key. zoned: Cyrus-Cracktro-Boot.zip Last edited by emufan; 19 February 2017 at 21:23. |
