Amiga Computing May 1996 Coverdisks

Hi Guys,

I'm just renovating my house and have unearthed two coverdisks for Amiga Computing, May 1996 which don't appear to be in the AMR archives.

All my gear is out in storage - I know it sounds retarded but is there someone in the UK I could physically post these to, who would be happy to then add them?

Hi Blitter,

Nice find! They're not on the EAB File Server either.

You're welcome to send them to me and I will upload images of both coverdisks to both AMR and the EAB File Server.

And, of couse, I'll return the disks to you afterwards if you wish.

If you indicate that you wish to go ahead, I'll PM you my address details.

Cool. They're in the post.

In case they get lost, here's proper scans of them.

Hi Blitter,

Well your disks did not get lost, I received them today.

They arrived in very good condition thanks to your perfect packaging, and I was able to get valid images of them at the first attempt using my Catweasel MKIV.

I have uploaded zipped ADF images of both coverdisks to the EAB File Server in the Collection/CoverDisk/Amiga Computing folder as AC-99a.zip and AC-99b.zip.

Also, I have uploaded a zipped archive to the AMR FTP site in the folder prowler, containing the two ADF disk images and your diskscans above.

Thanks for your valuable contribution to the Amiga community.

I'll add these disks to AMR when I get the correct login details! Does anybody have the actual mag? I don't have a cover scan or anything!

Cool... thanks for doing that.

I've got a whole box of coverdisks stored with my old 1200. When I retrieve it (once the renovations are done) I may be able to fill a few more missing holes.

For some reason these two didn't get packed and were just floating around. Didn't want them getting lost under rubble.

Hi Codetapper,

Yes, I have that magazine and I could scan it, but can't promise to do it quickly. Which pages, apart from the front cover, would be a priority?

No problem. Another pair of coverdisks preserved for the benefit of the Amiga community.

You're quite welcome to send any you find to me for imaging and, once again, I'll return them to you if you wish.

Front cover, contents pages and coverdisk pages would be priority. Then the reviews. And any other stuff you can be bothered with later!

That'd be fantastic thanks!
