Actually that version was internal and not to be distributed (contains debug and decryption code and parts of the setup are missing);
so clenched will be skinned publicly for the happiness of ransom1122

I've patched the exit bug and also removed all the SMC code.
Now the game works properly on 020+, it's even recommended to use it (with active icache); a basic Amiga 1200 is fine, this way the slowdowns are practically absent.

The executable can now be compressed (already done) and works perfectly on an A500 with 512k.
I could also patch it for relocated VBR and Workbench, but not, 'cause lazyness

Enjoy!

EDIT: bugged, removed...

Hmmm, something might be wrong with this new file.

Twice in a row the game Every time the game freezes / crashes at the "Kamikaze" level

...going to test with clenched's older version now.

Shite; the attachment has been removed from this post...

Ok , for some reason a vasm optimization generate the problem.
Disabling all option (-devpac) do not crash for me.
I give you a non-optimized version to test.

In the mean time I try to understand what it is and why.

EDIT: crash restricted to some advanced optimization, with the default active no problems
EDIT2: one of -opt-allbra or -opt-clr, now searching the cause

Yep, played to the end, no problems arose.
Played with an 020 is another game, I recommend playing it like this!

Sorry guys for all the fuss.

Thanks to clenched for the gfx/tests and Damien for the tests.

No fuss at all; thank you kindly for patching and clenched for the "coin only" colour changes

It's a much better game now

Disk updated again in my collection...

You can get the .ADF I created with ross's / clenched's patched version from the archive I uploaded for my collection here

...I've now also put just the .ADF in The Zone!

This is just for fun:
- Double shot painted to resemble two shotgun shells.
- No chance of mistaking Sucker for a powerup now.
- Jazz up color a little.

Gave it a try, quite cool

...but that's unfair making the Sucker coin look like the Commodore logo; people are going to want to pick this up

So ross and clenched have been busy cooking up something real good; the definite Galaga '92 version

The Amiga legend ross has really excelled himself this time; not only has he managed to roll the "original" / "red coin" / "just for fun" versions into 1 small executable... he's also made the following enhancements:
  • All 3 versions are now playable on an 68020 CPU and above (original was only a 68000 CPU).
  • In all 3 versions, press the <Right Mouse Button> at the title text / screen to enable the cheatcode "ALIENSGOHOME".
  • All 3 versions quit via <Let Mouse Button> without issue when the cheatcode is enabled.
I've also reworked the .ADF so it now looks like the following:
Attached for your enjoyment
