New to CDTV

Hi,

I've just acquired a CDTV. I need some advice. It not did come with system disks or other software.

Do you need additional s/w to play audio CDs? I thought that was in ROM.

TIA.

Saw this link when I searched for CDTV manual .

Downloaded a PDF from the archive. Unfortunately, I didn't find the answer to my question. I'm going to watch a video of the welcome disk on YouTube, see if that helps.

To play music CDs you don't need anything extra, just put the disk in and play.

You will need a CD caddy for the disks, did you get any with the CDTV?

You can also add an external floppy drive to play games.

Just thinking about this....

Did the CDTV come with any OS or did you have to buy the External Floppy and a set of WB disks?

No, you had to buy the prokit if you wanted to use it like an A500.

@Arnie, are you asking a question or asking amiga88?
As it could be taken both ways, .
