Hyperport/SilverSurfer serial card. Your opinions.
I'm looking into buying one for my A1200. Anyone here owns one of these babies? How well does it perform?
Thanks! |

The Hypercom High Speed Serial (Clockport) (AKA PortJr) has a 9cm clockport cable, hooks onto the clockport header and has a replacement serial driver included. You can then free up chip memory and have faster serial port transfers by using this faster serial port.

I have a PortJR here, never looked back at my old Whippet, nor new8n1.device (R.I.P.).
But for an happier experience, go for LAN transfers (tens faster). Or even parallel transfer (8x faster than serial). |
