A2000 Fast RAM Puzzle

I'm Hoping someone can shed some light on this problem:

I have an A2000 (1 MB Chip RAM) with an A2620 Accelerator (2 MB Fast RAM on board) and an A2091 SCSI Card (2 MB Fast RAM on board) running WB 3.1 (With Kickstart 3.1 ROM). It works fine and all 4 MB of Fast RAM appear to be there. (See Config. #1 in picture below: the red arrows add up to the green arrow so I'm happy).

I can add my A2058 Card (4 MB on board) and I'm still happy because all 8 MB of Fast RAM show up (See Config. #2: The red arrows still add up to the Green Arrow).

Alternatively, I can remove the A2058, and instead (in a DIFFERENT Zorro Slot) add my Microbotics 8-UP Card (4 MB on board) and I'm still happy because once again, all 8 MB of Fast RAM show up (See Config. #3: The red arrows still add up to the Green Arrow).

However, if I put both the A2058 Card AND the 8-UP Card in together (and they each went into the slot they previously occupied in the above configurations), I am NOT happy, because instead of 12MB Fast RAM, I'm Still only showing 8MB. This is strange because the A2000 sees both Cards with their RAM (See Config. #4: The red arrows just don't add up to the green arrow).

I don't get it....Does the A2000 have a limit on how much Fast RAM it can use?

If anybody has some info or suggestions, I'd really appreciate the input...

Re: A2000 Fast RAM Puzzle

Zorro2 address space is 8MB, you cannot add more memory using Zorro expansions. You might even have difficulties running a SCSI controller or similar because all possible addresses are already used for memory.

yes, you have without buying an accellerator that supports more... I had an A5000/020 with 4MB on it and an 8MB zorro board, it was nice having 13Mb of ram back then, not as nice as having 130Mb now though

The account is already deleted, so thread necromancing and asking the OP isn't the best idea Still good luck that someone has that disk.

@Magentic

As far as I know the 8-UP is auto-configurating, for the CMB A2058 should also have a jumper for auto-config as well.

heres the CBM A2058 install software
