Quick Question. I frantically updated the collection from Update 19 to present and somehow missed doing update 20. Is there a way for me to implement Update 20 now? Or would I have to do Update 20 and then every update after wards to ensure it is done properly? I can read all the details of each update to see if anything from Update 20 was changed along the way if it will save time - I know. I screwed up LOL.

I've just read the post regarding Update Pack #20...

None of the 20 x added games or updated ones have changed again since this pack, so you will just be able to apply this without having to re-apply any later Update Packs

Just a FYI

Alone in the Dark (ShapeShifter) starts with a low detail setting level, you can change it to High in game
ransom1122 is online now

Yes, but as far as I know it's not possible to set "High Detail" in-game and actually have this option saved...

...same story as with the display settings upon launch; would be nice to have "640 x 400" set as default so you don't get prompted to choose between a resolution of "320 x 200" or "640 x 400".

Some things I have no control over; that's life

So I decided to change a couple of screenshots; some are only minor though:
  • BloodFest [AGA]
  • Death Mask [AGA]
  • Line of Fire
  • Nightlong - Union City Conspiracy [AmigaCD] [RTG]
  • Payback [AmigaCD]
  • Wing Commander
Just download the attached and extract into "C:\WinUAE"

Edit: forgot that ransom1122 didn't like my "Line of Fire" screenshot so now also updated...

Is there any chance of adding the CD32 release of Jet Strike to the collection? The controls and graphics were improved with the CD32 release.

Thanks for all your efforts!

You could say the same thing with any ports that are in my collection.

Are the ports not made to run on an Amiga as is? (using no emulation program)

The MAC games can only run with Shapeshifter/emulation (they cannot run on an Amiga as is)

No, they will not run "natively" on the Amiga.

The Amiga version of ShapeShifter i.e. the MAC emulator, is required

Sort of the same as with Day Of The Tentacle in my collection, the Amiga version of ScummVM by NovaCoder is needed to play the game.

Edit: that reminds me, maybe I might add Sam & Max Hit the Road via ScummVM...

I've made a few small "configuration file" changes to the following games:

Code:
Blake Stone - Aliens of Gold [AGA] [MS-DOS conversion].uae
Blake Stone - Planet Strike [AGA] [MS-DOS conversion].uae
BloodFest [AGA].uae
Nightlong - Union City Conspiracy [AmigaCD] [RTG].uae
Toki.uae
Wing Commander.uae
Just download the attached and extract into "C:\WinUAE"

...and done

Runs pretty well with full speech / audio

If you want to test this out, just download / extract this into "C:\WinUAE"

I wonder what DOS games we can shoehorn into this collection via PC-Task and insanely fast emulation speeds in WinUAE?

So now that I've added a few CD32 games... thought I better clean up these in my collection and add the proper files:
  • Fly Harder [CD32] [converted to adf].uae
  • Lemmings [CD32] [converted to adf].uae
  • Lunar-C [CD32] [converted to adf].uae
  • Pinball Fantasies [CD32] [converted to adf].uae
  • Speedball 2 - Brutal Deluxe [CD32] [converted to adf].uae

These are the following notes that I made after trying the "real" CD32 versions of the games:
Fly Harder [CD32]:
- No point adding the CD32 version, total waste of time. There are no audio tracks and no use of CD32 buttons.
- Will delete the "[converted to adf]" out of my collection and not replace with the [CD32] version.

Lemmings [CD32]:
- No point adding the CD32 version, total waste of time. There are no audio tracks and no use of CD32 buttons.
- Will delete the "[converted to adf]" out of my collection and not replace with the [CD32] version.

Lunar-C [CD32]:
- As the name suggests, just a rip of the game files off the "Overkill & Lunar-C" disc.
- There are no audio tracks and no use of CD32 buttons.
- Might rename from "Lunar-C [CD32] [converted to adf].uae" --> "Lunar-C [CD32].uae".

Pinball Fantasies [CD32]:
- Audio tracks and use of CD32 buttons.

Speedball 2 - Brutal Deluxe [CD32]:
- Audio tracks and use of CD32 buttons.

Nope, not going there my friend...

If I want to play DOS games (which is very rare indeed for me), I'll do so from my Windows laptop and not via Amiga emulation

As I've removed 2 x games... I now need to find 2 x replacements to keep the numbers the same

So I've just added these 2 x new CD32 games, besides the other 2 x replacements i.e. the real Pinball Fantasies [CD32] & Speedball 2 - Brutal Deluxe [CD32]: Sometimes in life you need to step backwards in order to go forwards

All these recent changes are not really helping with completing "Update Pack 31 - Part 2" though, and just giving me more work to do
