New "Stable" of my DiagROM
Today I released my latest Stable version of my DiagROM.
http://www.diagrom.com/index.php/201...version-ready/ I sure want some input of this. DiagROM is a replacement of your kickstart roms to find issues with your Amiga. So far in a VERY early beta stage. |

Well maybe should do a Video when V1.0 is out.
But to make it simple: You replace the kickstart roms with those. the machine will then try to startup, and before screen is avaible stuff is dumped in serialport so user can see at whatpoint it crashes to make troubleshooting more easy. As the system is designed to work on as many machines as possible, you can even remove buster, ramsey, Paula, CIAs etc and it will startup and give a screen so user can do different tests and pinpoint problems in the machine. Software will not be able to say: Hey paula is borked.. etc on all situations, but if you know the machine you can do tests to make sure that "oh it seems that paula doesn't get all datasignals, maybe a datatrace is not working.. |
