Foolproof GUI way to mount ADFs on real Amiga
Hi, I'm looking for a GUI based program, with its own installer, that will mount ADF files as virtual drives on a real Amiga.
I've tried DiskSpace and others, but always seem to run into problems. DiskSpace gives me this boot loop error when I restart: icd0 program failed wait for disk activity to finish Suspend / Reboot Does anyone have a self-installing program with its own GUI that works nicely on an A500? |

I use MountADF on my A1200's and A2000, it should work on the A500 if you have enough memory.

ICD0: sounds like a CD dosdriver. Are you sure it's for ADf's. I think these are meant for the A1200. The only A500 mounter I know of is XFS.
EDIT: You can try this, I made it a while back but I have no A500 to test it on. It works in WinUAE with KS3.1 though. Give it a try and let me know how you get on. Last edited by Arnie; 31 May 2015 at 19:12. Reason: FILE CONTAINS EBOLA VIRUS |

I made another script a while ago called MountADF, for the A1200, it could be the one and the same. The one I attached here works on the A500, KS 2.0 and above (well it does in WinUAE at least)

You could use unadf, it doesn't mount them but extracts all files from an ADF.

Is there a way to assign .adf files to MountADF, so I can double-click an .adf and see it automagically mounted as a floppy drive? That would be... well, magic. Last edited by Starglider 2; 02 June 2015 at 23:35. |

Way above my script kiddy skills I'm afraid.
I haven't put it on Aminet because it's not original, it's just a collection of other peoples work and my script. EDIT: There is a small typo in the script for mounting .iso files. I've attached a fixed version here. Last edited by Arnie; 31 May 2015 at 19:12. |

EasyADF will mount ADF to a temporary RAD disk on the Workbench.

Thanks for that. Not sure why but I'm now getting a startup error blaming "ramlib" with only 2 options, Suspend or Reboot. I can't run any programs from WB. Any ideas?

I doubt it's a MountADF error as WB hasn't even finished loading.
Might be some corruption of the HD after writing to it. Try booting from a floppy and see if you can scan the HD for errors. |

Hi Arnie, as MountADF essentially worked (apart from the obvious issue!) do you have a 100% virus-free, typo-checked, version you could put on Aminet or similar please?
